This will be a review from a longtime user My older two kids took High School EIW and EIL (at their grade level but one class) live in Austin with Mr. Stephens this year. My oldest is at level 11 and her brother level 10. We are probably one of the first customers with EIW and then EIL. We have used between three kids almost every level over the past seven or eight years. My kids have learned so much from these programs and after the high school classes this year with Mr. Stephens I feel confident in their literary analysis skills and writing skills. They took the TSI (college entrance test in Texas for Duel Credit students) today. They needed to score a 340 and a 4 or higher on the essay in the Writing section. My 14 year old scored a 371 and got a 5 on the essay. My newly 17 year old got a 370 and 6 on the essay. I totally believe in this curriculum. My kids love English and Writing because Mr. Stephens created a gentle and easy process. They don't ever feel rushed into a paper or learning a new reading skill. Everything is broken into small parts that build on each other. On their end of year Research papers one scored 150 out of 150 with the scoring service and the other scored 145 out of 145. We have friends that use more complicated systems because they believe harder equals better results. I am here to tell you that a child that loves the process will do well. On a side note my youngest child is going into 6th grade next year. She is dyslexic and we have used EIW with her for 3 years. She originally hated even attempting to write but because the system builds she now writes stories on her own daily. Thank you again from the Schmidt Family for creating this curriculum. I am almost sad that my oldest will be done with EIW next fall after College prep writing.

I used EIW for 3 years while homeschooling my son. When he started public school, per his request, he was way ahead in writing skills, grammar, and essay writing. EIW is a great program. Highly recommend.

I’ve only used it for one year but it’s great. You’ll need to add literature, handwriting, and spelling. It gets right to it, easy to teach and learn. Not an overwhelming number of lessons!

We're excited to start using this material! However, a word of caution to Canadians considering ordering this product from the US. We ordered from the US and were charged import duties. Added significantly to the cost of the material and the publisher wasn't willing to help us out with the import charges. Consider before ordering.
