My 11 year old daughter is a big fan of reading books and her friends are too. One day, I came up to her and asked her if she could give me a list of books she recommends. Then she gave me a HUGE list of books. So I decided to recommend these to you ...
It’s a pretty good book for people who really want to smile. Trust me, I bought it and it’s heartwarming and meaningful.
Smile: A Graphic Novel - Raina Telgemeier
Although it might be a bit more for girls who are about 11 and above, but it’s definitely for theatre kids like me.
Drama (Graphix) : Telgemeier, Raina ...
It’s really good for girls who are learning to grow up. And it’s really funny and has a lot of meaning.
Lottie Brooks (9 book series) Kindle Edition
Man, it’s a relatable book for the ones who are dealing with a lot of DRAMA. Like dealing with mean girls, making friends & finally getting to know yourself.
Dork Diaries by Rachel Renée Russell
Well, It’s kind of on the younger side. But it’s pretty cool for everybody. Like getting to know how life was like in a British boarding school in the 1940s (well it was written at that period of time. & keep in mind, this book has no pictures.)
Enid Blyton Malory Towers 12-Book Set
This is more on the older side (unless your child is old enough to understand). This tackles taking sides, broken friendships and finally standing up for yourself.
Cross My Heart and Never Lie - Books
This is the second book of the Cross My Heart series. Honestly, I’ve never seen something like this in my entire life. It teaches to not stay silent if something’s not fair or okay at all.
SAVE OUR FOREST!: Heartwarming Full Colour Graphic
This one’s more gender neutral. But it’s really relatable for middle schoolers. I mean, the crazy misadventures, the plot twists and turns into that book people get attached to.
The Wimpy Kid Series · Books
This one’s also gender neutral 😐. But definitely for fantasy lovers. They have a lot of mysteries, suspense and potential.
Harry Potter Paperback Box Set (Books 1-7)
This is also a really heartfelt book from Raina Telgemeier. It handles best friends moving away, medical issues and bullies.
Guts: A Graphic Novel - Telgemeier, Raina: Books
It’s a really good series that raised 3 generations starting from 1986. It’s good for people who love babysitting and want to know how to handle little siblings or the ones they’re babysitting.
