‎Ajat • آيات‎ on Instagram: "Pappmaché 🧻 Toilet paper wall art ✨ Ich hab mich ran getraut und aus sowas einfachem wie Toiletten Papier ein tolles Gemälde geschaffen 🥹 Ich bin a lil bit proud 🤏🏽 Wie findet ihr mein Kunstwerk? 🤭 Ihr braucht: ✨ Leinwand ✨ Toiletten Papier ✨ Holzleim oder Bastelkleber ✨ Wasser ✨ Sprühflasche ✨ Schüssel ✨ Pinsel Ihr mischt Wasser mit etwas Holzleim oder Bastelkleber und trägt es großzügig auf die Leinwand auf. Dann bedeckt ihr die Stelle mit Toilettenpapier und sprüht es mit der Sprühflasche mit Wasser etwas an. Nun kommt eine zweite Schicht Wasser-Kleber-Mischung und Toilettenpapier drauf. So arbeitet ihr euch vor, bis ihr alles bedeckt habt. Nach dem trocknen braucht ihr es nur noch bemalen und ihr habt eine tolle Strukturleinwand 🥹 Für den Rahmen hab ich mir Holzbalken im Baumarkt zuschneiden lassen und sie vorher dunkel lasiert. Dann braucht ihr sie nur noch um das Bild zusammenschrauben 😍🤌🏽 Das macht das ganze etwas edler und hochwertiger 😏 Viel Spaß beim nachmachen 🫶🏼❤️ ——————————— You need: ✨ Canvas ✨ Toilet paper ✨ Wood glue or craft glue ✨ Water ✨ Spray bottle ✨ Bowl ✨ Painting Brush You mix water with some wood glue or craft glue and apply it generously to the canvas. Then cover the area with toilet paper and spray it with spray bottle with water. Now add a second layer of water-glue mixture and toilet paper. This is how you work your way until you have covered everything. After it dries, all you need to do is paint it and you have a great textured canvas For the frame, I had wooden beams cut to size at the hardware store and glazed them dark beforehand. Then you just need to screw them together around the picture 😍🤌🏽 That makes the whole thing a little more elegant and high quality 😏 Have fun copying it 🏼❤️ . . #diy #leinwand #wallart #pappmaché"

Mitesh | Home & Design on Instagram: "I’m a bit of a hoarder when it comes to fabric scraps always thinking I’ll use it for a project. From saree blouse piece remnants to old dupattas and fabrics used for other projects I had a good collection and thought of finally making something with them. I grabbed some small canvases I already had and some I picked up at @michaelsstores to make a 20x30 inch rectangle. I decided to choose colorful fabrics that were brocades, benarasi style or had embroidery in them for this one. I wrapped the individual fabrics around each securing with hot glue and for some more shear fabrics had to paint the canvas a matching color first. I then decided to make a frame for everything and had wood precut to size and glued the corners together with some gorilla glue. In the future would like to cut the corners in angles but that’s another skill for another day. I added a cardboard back cut to size and painted everything black. Finally secured the canvas pieces with hot glue inside the frame and hung it up on the wall. I added picture hooks in the back for hanging since it did become a little heavy with all the canvases. . . . . . . . . . . #diyart #fabricart #indianhomedecor"

SANDRA 🤎CHALET8 on Instagram: "Pappmaché ist inzwischen eine echte Leidenschaft von mir geworden. Es dauert zwar, bis die Werke durchtrocknen, aber es ist unfassbar günstig und vielseitig. Hier noch mal mein ganzes Pappmaché Wissen für euch: ▶️Eierkartons zerrupfen, mit Wasser im Topf ca. 20 Min. köcheln. Das Kochen ist wichtig, um Keime abzutöten! Je mehr Wasser, desto besser lösen sich die Fasern auf. ▶️Anschließend sehr gut mixen/pürieren. Am liebsten mache ich das mittlerweile mit dem Handrührgerät. ▶️Eventuell die Masse auswringen/ abseihen. Wenn ihr lieber eine grobe Optik möchtet, dann sollte die Masse trockener sein. Wenn ihr später eine glatte Optik wollt, lasst ihr mehr Wasser in dem Pappmaché. Im Kochtopf sollten aber keine Wasserpfützen zu sehen sein, dann wäre die Masse in jedem Fall zu feucht. Die Masse sollte jetzt etwa an Thunfisch aus der Dose erinnern. ▶️Dann Tapetenkleister (und ggfl Holzleim) unterrühren bis das Ganze wie Kartoffelbrei aussieht. Je sämiger die Masse ist, desto glatter wird später das Ergebnis. Der Holzleim macht es noch mal fester. Nutze ich persönlich aus Kostengründen aber gar nicht mehr. Ihr könnt auch Kaffeesatz/Kaffeepulver dazugeben. Das bindet Wasser und sorgt für eine interessante Optik. Mache geben auch noch Spachtelmasse und andere Sachen dazu. Meiner Erfahrung nach ist der Tapetenkleister essenziellen alles weitere ist optional. ▶️Jetzt könnt ihr mit der Masse die Form ausarbeiten und dann einige Tage an einem warmen Ort trocknen lassen. ▶️Luftdicht verpackt hält sich das Pappmaché mehrere Wochen im Kühlschrank. ▶️Die Hände bleiben relativ sauber und sogar gepflegt beim Arbeiten mit Pappmaché. Der Kleister tut der Haut eher gut, als dass er austrocknet. It’s been used to assist with multiple issues. 1) It creates a value tone so that you can more easily push things into light or dark to find relative contrast. 2) It gets rid of all the white which makes the painting feel more complete in the awkward stages. 3) it allows light to bounce off the bottom layer to create a more luminous and vibrant effect in your painting. 4) it can be left in the finished piece where it fits perfectly in value and chroma which makes an interesting read of the painting.
