Must see if you love nature. Masterpiece of a garden, well planned, tended, and loved. Bring a camera because there’s so many areas you’ll want to take pictures of and at.
The Oregon Garden
All year fun, but be sure to visit when it first turns cold. The polar bears are a delight!!!
Oregon Zoo
Visit Oregon’s aquarium but plan to spend another day in the area. There are plenty of things to see on and near the coast that you won’t won’t to miss.
Newport Aquarium
Sometimes the caves have a lot of sea lions (it will be very loud and very stinky) and sometimes far fewer (still stinky). Very cool journey down into the caves. Special hidden waterfall. Absolutely gorgeous ocean views. Highly recommend.

There are a few places to park close to beach access. Plan ahead of time or you’ll end up walking around very confused. Lincoln city beach is gorgeous.
Public Beach Access in Lincoln City, OR
Amazing site of raw power. You can get very close to this one via stairs. Wear extremely grippy safe shoes and use the utmost caution and discretion. The waves are no joke.
Devil's Churn
Different every time you visit. Never ever go inside. View from afar.
Thor's Well | Yachats, OR
North Falls (seperate parking) has the easiest access by walking. Then drive to the south parking area. South Falls is my favorite in the world. Stop at the gift shop and the cafe on the way back out.
Silver Falls State Park - Oregon State Parks
Free garden hidden in a little Independence neighborhood. Loads of plant varieties and education. Master gardeners often onsight. We’ve seen deer here many times. Bees and butterflies as well.
Mt. Fir Park & Inspiration Garden - City of Independence
Summertime movie nights, year round festivals, and every day access to the Willamette. Gorgeous park. Highly recommend you visit this at least once.
