Super nice place for drinks and snacks on the water - very centrally located
Waterkant
They have a few locations but if you are looking for the best burger in the city, this is the place to go!
The Butcher
Asian fusion, great location, in the ring. Great food and cocktails.

Very central location - great for afternoon drinks and happy hour. Good bar snacks too!
Cafe de Ebeling
Just as amazing as it was in NYC in Sex and the City - this Amsterdam location offers the same signature cocktails and menu.
SUSHISAMBA Amsterdam
Limited menu - lobster or steak - but they do it so so well! Very small spot with limited seating. I take all my friends and family here when they are in town and they all love it!
Restaurant Red
You would never know that this place is vegan. Absolutely the best vegan place for all the comfort food.
Vegan Junk Food Bar | VEGAN TAKE OVER
Very instagram-able and the food is delicious! All dishes are around avocado's - as the name implies) - highly recommend this place for breakfast/lunch

Van Gogh Museum
I've done this with friends and family many many times - you see a different side to Amsterdam by boat!
Absolutely worth the wait but also worth buying tickets before you arrive in Amsterdam so that you are not wasting time in line
Anne Frank House
Worth a day trip outside of Amsterdam - see the windmills, learn how the clogs and cheese are made

Worth it to see where and how the beer is made but also check out the Heineken ponies
Heineken Experience
The biggest department store in Amsterdam - can be compared to the Barney's of the Netherlands

If you are in the Netherlands in the spring time, you MUST visit the world famous tulip gardens.
Keukenhof
Located only about 30 minutes outside Amsterdam by train, this quaint city is a great day trip or overnight stay. Checking out the food scene is always a great way to get to know a city.

My brother and I checked this out - take a free ferry from central station to check this out and see incredible views of the city from this famous swing.
