I absolutely love this book by Jen Sincero and read it from front to back and frequently went back in for quotes and to read a random page or two.

I also appreciate that Jen, as well as a few other authors like Louise Hay, include helpful and supportive resources towards the end of their books.

Another powerful book by Louise Hay. If you're looking for a well-rounded book, including some (if not all of Heal Your Body) I would go with You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay. Both are great!

I typically find books easier to follow when there's a journal companion to the book in question.

For example, when I was reading "The Four Agreements," there were so many pages of notes that I took. I asked myself a lot of questions, and I journaled a lot throughout reading that book.

Had I known there was a companion to it, my process may have been a lot simpler, and I may have even sparked new questions and clarity that I hadn't thought of asking myself.

Fantastic book to inspire you to go after your dreams no matter "how old" you are.

I really enjoyed reading this book front to back. I enjoyed the stories and lessons that Simu has shared. A lot of this book really resonated with me and allowed me to reflect on my own life.

This is a book and a resource I could have immensely benefited from growing up in a society of, and in an era of, heroin chic.

My body didn't fit the standard that society was playing over and over in my head - The message that was being sent out was “if you don't look like this you're fat” and THAT would play over and over in my head.

I began hating my body, specifically my stomach in High School. Whenever I would see magazines, actors on TV, models on the runway, or even compare myself to other girls at school, I always felt a little different and that my body didn't match what w...

This is definitely a resource I would have benefited from back then.

One of my favourite books, even though I definitely disagree with one of Elizabeth Gilbert's quotes from this book, which is that artists and art really isn't all that important.

While I understand I'm not saving lives like a doctor or surgeon would, art has been an immensely important tool within my life that has taken me out of suicidal ideation. It has helped me self-express and allowed me to step fully into my authenticit...

One of my absolute favourite books when it comes to understanding yourself and ADHD (from an ADHD perspective).

Alex Partridge writes in a very light, effective, creative and fun way where my creative brain picks up on the messages that are directly written in the book, and I'm able to see and visualize them (I'm a visual learner).

He also talks about ADHD things I had never heard of before but knew they were happening in my life, like the ADHD tax.

Highly recommend his book as well as his podcast and the journal that accompanies this book.

I am so looking forward to reading this book, and LOVE the idea of the F*CK THEM THEORY.

“The F*ck Them Theory is your permission slip to stop apologizing and start transforming rejection into power.”

I'm excited to dive into this book for a couple of reasons:

 1. I am tired of being the bigger person, and this is something I've been saying for a few years now.

2. As someone who absolutely loved the "Let Them" theory by Mel Robbins, until I heard a bunch of people making some really great points online about how the Let Them Theory doesn't always work. However, I do believe that some of those videos and int...

Honestly, this is a book I wish I had growing up, as I was growing up with undiagnosed ADHD and OCD tendencies, and I was frequently called lazy, inattentive, and rude.

I felt really stupid growing up because I felt like no matter how much I learned or no matter how much information I absorbed, that I was never good enough, that it was never good enough. Learning and self-help became my area of transformation and ex...

While I've only read parts and pieces from this book, I can highly recommend it as a book that you can go back to time and time again.

With a lot of the books that I own, a habit I have created, which may support you on your ADHD journey, is grabbing any book off the shelf and just reading for 20 minutes.

Regardless of if it's front to back or somewhere in the middle, simply trusting that the message you need to hear today was the exact page that you had opened. That's exactly what I did with this book.

I really enjoyed reading First We Make the Beast Beautiful by Sarah Wilson. It connected deeply with me at a time when I was moving through a lot of shifts and transitions within my own personal (and business) life.

My business was just taking off for the first time and more successful than I could have ever imagined.

My property had just been rented by who I thought was an incredible tenant, and now, looking back on the last two-plus years, how challenging that situation was (and still is).

All while navigating living with a roommate I didn't wanna live with anymore.

Not to mention the personal transformations that were happening within myself, where I was stepping into authenticity and leaving behind a world of people pleasing.

Additionally, one of the things I was moving through that I started looking into, thankfully, with this book is gravitating towards food and snacks whenever I felt anxiety or over-stimulation.

This got me questioning my habits, my patterns, and why I was using food as a source for energy, sometimes to stifle my emotions if things were feeling too heavy, and other times to regulate my nervous system.

Sarah does a really great job of providing tools and rituals in the book that support you, your nervous system, and what you're currently going through so you can step into the new version of you.

I've seen this book a couple of times on bookstore shelves or when looking up what books to read next on Pinterest.

I had read Sarah Wilson's “First We Make the Beast Beautiful”. I have to admit I did not read the book in full, but I did read an extensive portion of the book and kept going back and back again to read random pages that resonated.

(For those of you who haven't been to any of my classes or my YouTube channel, you may not know this, but it's a helpful ADHD tip. If you're like me and you've got ADHD and you want to read more books but you find it challenging, my suggestion is to pick up a book, ANY BOOK, and read for 20 minutes.

This is what I would do a lot with books that I wasn't reading front to back and would read from the middle or sometimes from the beginning or whatever page opened up for me. While I began reading Sarah Wilson's “First We Make the Beast Beautiful”, t...
