When I just want to sketch out an idea I use strathmore sketch. I still lean towards a fine tooth paper but it’s my second choice when Canson is unavailable. I believe they have a small size for travel as well.

I have a set of Fabre Castell pencils and they are my favorite drawing pencils to use. I like how they’re not waxy and they do not stick to the paper. Mine came with an eraser and a metal sharpener.

My favorite medium is oil pastels and I have use this same brand since high school. I recommend them because they blend well and I feel they don’t stick to the paper as much as other brands I have used.
