This company has rentals and many options for great paddles. A favorite is to go from Porters Crossing down into the town of Snow Hill, MD. It starts on a cypress creek/forest and widens into the Pocomoke River.

Just across from the Hickory Point Natural area is a boat ramp. Paddle across the river and explore the creeks into the Hickory Point Marsh. Bring your own kayak.

Hickory Point Cypress Swamp
Bring your own watercraft to paddle this creek out onto the open bay. A beautiful area to explore. Launch is free to use.
Mason Landing
Launch from the free public boat ramp at Taylors landing and explore Pikes Creek or Scarborough creek. Perfect on a fall September day. Bring your own watercraft. Some open bay water initially but the creeks are fairly calm. Lots of birds/wildlife!
Paddling the EA Vaughn Water Trails of Chincoteague Bay
Let in at Red House road and enjoy the Nassawango creek as it widens out into the Pocomoke River. Bring your own boat or rent from the Pocomoke River Canoe company in Snow Hill.

Porter's Crossing
At the end of Winters Quarter road is a great free boat launch to let into the Pocomoke River. This is a quiet section of river to explore. Bring your own boat.
Winter Quarters Boat Ramp
Rent a kayak or paddle board and paddle the creek to the Chincoteague bay. Free launch also available. Grab some fresh local seafood while you are here!
Baywater Landing Marina
A great place to launch small windcraft or paddle board. A free boat ramp is also available. Open bay waters. Bring your own boat.
