The clocktower right next to Mystic Grill, the pictures were taken from the covington square
The Clocktower
The square is downtown Covington.Take a stroll and enjoy some familiar views on the square like the Mystic Grill, Scoops, The Clock Tower, The Alley, and much more. The area is always clean and adorned with beautiful flowers
The Square
Mystic Falls sign is located on the visitors center. There is a painted version of it on the alley also, but you should not miss this one.

It is a private property though but is right across Lockwood mansion and you can take pictures as long as you don't enter the property. Consider taking the tour for access to some private properties.
The Gilbert House or Elena's house
The Lockwood mansion is one of those locations that if you want to gonin full experience mode you have to take the tour. Otherwise you can always see it from the outside.

This is the Southview Cemetery in Covington. Another iconic filming location you must visit, at least on your first trip.
Mystic Falls Cemetery
Whitmore College has also many scenes throughout the show and just on the way heading out of Covington its actual name is Oxford College of Emory University

Whitmore frat house party, this is where Elena and Damon got high on blood. You might actually get to see the "murder house" sign
Frat Murder House
This filming location mostly known from The Originals is located in Conyers (The French Quarter) is currently an operating bar that you can also come in and enjoy some cold beer and some more. The name is Celtic Tavern Irish Pub
Gillespies Pub
Olde Town in Conyers has a couple locations like this one, gillespies pub, jardín Gris and was the street in where many of the funerals took place
The Originals House
It used to be a candle shop, I found out on my last visit that it is now a metaphysical shop, how fitting. So full experience inside an out opportunity for this one.
Jardin Gris, commercialy known as BOO~Tique Metaphysical Shop
There is no inside access to this one because it was closed, it's still heavily guarded but you can still take pictures from the outside of the property
Salvatore School for the gifted - Kent Rock Manor in Loganville
Another iconic location is the infamous Wickery Bridge

Probably the farthest filming location in the list in relation to "Mystic Falls" aka Covington but totally worth it though. If you made it this far let me know if you want a second part by leaving a like on the list.
The Armory, actually the Westview Abbey Mausoleum in Atlanta
