Finding the right shampoo and conditioner has been a journey for me — here’s an honest look at some of the products I’ve tried over the years. Hope you find this helpful!
This shampoo has a nice fragrance and lathers well. However, it leaves my hair feeling dry, and it is not effective against dandruff.
Parachute Advansed Coconut & Argan Shampoo 340ml
Relieves itchy scalp and reduces inflammation. Effective for dandruff, seborrhoeic dermatitis, eczema, and psoriasis. However, it has a very strong, unpleasant tar-like smell.
Scalp Cleansing Treatment 250ml
Gentle shampoo suitable for all hair types. It has a refreshing fragrance. Cleanses the scalp and softens hair, but may leave your hair dry after multiple uses. Mildly effective against dandruff.
Bio Balance Organic Aloe Vera Shampoo 330ml
Gentle shampoo suitable for all hair types. Has a lovely scent and lathers well for an SLS-free formula. Softens hair and leaves it feeling light. May not be ideal for greasy hair.

This is a great conditioner enriched with argan oil and smells gorgeous!

A gentle, calming shampoo that offers a relaxing, spa-like experience at home. It lathers well and leaves hair feeling light and refreshed.
Herbaline Hair Shampoo Fine Relaxing 300ml
This shampoo has a good cleansing effect and helps reduce dandruff. It leaves hair feeling light and soft, but it doesn’t help with hair fall.
Mamaearth Rosemary Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo 250ml
This shampoo has a thick, creamy, chalk-white consistency. The cleansing effect wasn’t very effective for me, and it leaves my hair feeling dry and rough.
Mamaearth Lemon Anti Dandruff Shampoo 250ml
My sister has been using this shampoo for over 2 years, and it really helps reduce hair fall for her. For me, it didn’t, and it also seems to dry out my hair.
Mamaearth Onion Shampoo Hair Fall Control 250ml
One of my best finds. It combines shampoo and conditioner in one. Suitable for dry, flaky, and sensitive scalps. Helps reduce redness and inflammation. It also provides relief from scalp discomfort and leaves the scalp feeling clean and refreshed.
Buy Dermal Therapy Scalp Relief Shampoo & Conditioner 210ml
Great for dry and frizzy hair. It has a refreshing coconut scent. It leaves hair smooth and soft after washing, and also helps improve overall hair texture.
WOW Skin Science Coconut Milk Shampoo 300ml
Great for dandruff-prone scalp. It helps reduce flakes and soothe irritation, leaving hair clean and soft.
Pristine Dandruff Shampoo
This shampoo leaves a cool sensation on the scalp, but may not fully relieve itchiness or reduce dandruff, and can leave hair feeling dry.
Follow Me Green Tea Shampoo Anti-Dandruff 650ml
Gentle on the scalp and leaves hair feeling soft and smooth after every wash. Helps reduce dandruff, but it can be too gentle if your scalp is oily.
HLP Mother Earth Botanical Scalp Care Hair Shampoo 500ml
Has a thick, creamy texture and a pleasant fragrance. It hydrates and smooths hair, leaving it feeling soft.
HLP Mother Earth Botanical Hydrating & Smoothening Conditioner 250ml
I’ve heard many great reviews about this product, but it wasn’t suitable for my hair. Olaplex is a highly nourishing and reparative shampoo, and it’s best for all hair types.
Olaplex Nº.4 Bond Maintenance® Shampoo
Recommended to me by a dermatologist. This shampoo is designed to improve blood circulation to the scalp and help fight and prevent hair loss. However, it left my hair feeling rough and dry and didn’t help reduce hair fall.

Works well for dry or damaged hair. This shampoo smells truly wonderful and leaves hair feeling softer. It helps cleanse and nourish the scalp.
SheaMoisture, Jamaican Black Castor Oil 95ml
Great for dry or curly hair. It helps restore moisture and leaves hair soft and smooth. However, it can leave some buildup, making the scalp feel greasy.

Great for dry and dehydrated hair. It has a pleasant olive scent. It gently cleanses without drying and leaves hair soft and smooth.

Great for all hair types. This conditioner helps nourish and smooth hair, leaving it soft and shiny.
MEA Natura Olive Vitality Shine Conditioner 300ml
Has a pleasant fruity scent, but may not provide enough hydration for very dry hair, and the results can feel quite mild.
Makarizo Hair Energy Conditioning Shampoo Aloe & Melon 170 ml
May not effectively reduce hair fall or dandruff and can leave hair feeling dry.
Kesh King Anti-Hairfall Shampoo 200ml
May not provide enough moisture for very dry hair and doesn’t effectively cleanse the scalp or remove buildup.
Summerie Hair Shampoo for Dry Hair 325ml
A sulphate and paraben-free shampoo, suitable for all hair types. It has a subtle hibiscus and aloe vera scent. Cleansing can feel mild, and it may leave hair feeling slightly dry.
KHADI NATURAL Ayurvedic Hibiscus Alovera Cleanser 210ml
A herbal, SLS-free shampoo. Neem Sat is best for itchy and dandruff-prone scalps. However, it may be too gentle for oily or sensitive scalps and can leave hair feeling dry.

Ideal for color-treated hair. It’s gentle and doesn't irritate the scalp. Has a fruity scent and leaves hair feeling refreshed and hydrated.

This shampoo leaves hair feeling super soft and makes curls more defined after every wash. It moisturises and helps reduce dryness, but can weigh hair down. I have to wash my hair more often when using it, and it may be too gentle for oily scalps.
