Colorado Springs Hikes/ Walking Paths
Trails and paths of varying intensity in and around Colorado Springs. Our nature is world class; don't miss the opportunity to experience it.
Beautiful, easy to moderate hike with lots of running water and a waterfall at the end that was frozen when I visited in November.
Mostly easy, well-paved, and accessible, this area is truly world-class.
Garden of the Gods Hiking Trails
Super popular Colorado Springs hiking trail.
"Section 16", Palmer Trail
Short and steep, this hike ends in some incredible views of Colorado Springs. Great spot for a lunch or a snack.
Red Mountain Trail, Manitou Springs
Relatively easy hike near / in Manitou with some beautiful scenery.
Intemann and Parallel Loop
SUCH a cool spot. An old quarry, goes through a meadow at one point. It even has a dog park! So much to see here. Mini Garden of the Gods.
Red Rock Canyon Open Space
OK, so I cheated a little bit on this one; it's actually in Sedalia which is North of Colorado Springs. But it's such a cool, mostly easy hike that I just couldn't skip it! The views are absolutely breathtaking.
Devil's Head Lookout - Sedalia
Camping, archery, miles and miles of trails. Absolutely gorgeous.
Cheyenne Mountain State Park
Moderate difficulty, but absolutely stunningly beautiful. One of Colorado Springs' hiking gems.
Seven Bridges Trail
Fairly flat and easygoing with some cool rock formations.
Ute Valley Park Loop Trail
Difficult Hikes
This one's a doozy. Very difficult. If you're from lower elevation and have the opportunity to acclimate before doing this, I highly recommend it! Also, look into the shuttle for parking.
The Manitou Incline
This hike ends in a scramble up a ten-foot rope which is well-suited for those who like heights and a little more adventure. Just down the road is a great spot for rockhounding LOTS of fluorite. It's incredible!
Saint Peter's Dome Trail
A Colorado 14er, this class 2 peak is challenging with stunning views. And the donuts at the gift shop are a major bonus!
