Modern, high standard, 100 metres to beach, 8 mins walk to Oistins
Although I wasn't lucky enough to stay here, the beach where Sandals is located is a public beach, so we had a walk right along the front. It looks like a beautiful place to spend your vacation.

Where to eat and drink
There's so many places to eat and drink on the island. These are just a few of the places that I went to and would recommend to anyone visiting.
We popped in here as there was a short queue outside. It was like walking into someones house, and being invited to their lunch! The chicken roti was so tasty, and we sat on large tables with other customers and chatted. Very laid back and great food...
De Roti Shop
Right on the seafront near Oistins, the menu looked really tasty, and the cocktails were amazing. Great views over the sea for watching for turtles! Live music venue too.
Surfers Cafe
A little cafe style restaurant just off Dover Beach, near St Lawrence Gap.I ate the brocolli creamy pasta with chicken and it was so yummy!

Best fried chicken on the island. Worth the walk from the bus stop!

Definitely a restaurant to check out for a special occasion, birthday or anniversary.

Rooftop bar overlooking the bay, with an extensive cocktail menu
Cocktail Kitchen – St. Lawrence Gap, Barbados
Great chicken wings, and a good venue to head for if you are looking for a sports bar. Lots of screens showing various sporting events.
6Mix Bar + Kitchen
Great food and service, and a fantastic view over the sea. Traditional food, lots of choice too.
Fisherman's Pub Restaurant, Speightstown
Lovely beach side bar - although it appears expensive for the sunbed, it's actually great value as you get tokens to spend on food and drinks from the bar, so if you want to stay all day it's ace! Great selection of food, beers and cocktails.
The Tiki Bar Barbados
Close to the port, this venue is great for spending time at the beach. There are sun-beds and parasols, a wide variety of food and drinks and there are excursions and snorkelling tours from here to see shipwrecks and turtles.

We were spoilt for choice with the fantastic Caribbean beaches in Barbados. Here are just a few of our favourites.
The most scenic beach on the island, like paradise! Great views from the parking area at the top.
BOTTOM BAY
This is a rugged scenic beach with rock formations. Great fir surfing, not really a swimming beach. Perfect if you enjoy a stroll along the beach looking for shells and interesting stones.
