Great place to sample the local Madeira Wine. You can do a tour, or just go in and order a selection of wines to try.
Blandy's Wine Lodge
Right on the sea front, this bar is a great place to stop for a beer, cocktail or food. Seating inside and outside.
Beerhouse Madeira - Restaurante e Cervejaria
A hidden gem near the Fruit Market, you go downstairs into the restaurant which is a busy little place. We had to queue but not for long. They give you potatoes chips and rice with every meal, and I can recommend them ye scabbard fish with banana. So...
We had the tasting menu which came with wine paired. Great service and food was delicious.
Cris's Place
Really friendly pub, lots of screens for watching sports and nice snacks and burgers.
The White House
We visited twice during our week in Madeira. We enjoyed the steak and salmon on the stone, you get a really hot stone slab which you cook your food at the table. Great fun!
Restaurante 3Ls: Bem-vindo
Lovely restaurant, you go through a shopping centre to reach it. Sells wine and deli foods too
MadMarket Restaurante
Fantastic Indian restaurant with great friendly service.
