I used to think supportive meant heavy. Then I tried shoes that weighed almost nothing and my knees stopped barking at me after long walks. These are the ones I reach for when I know I'll be on my feet from morning to night.

Flat feet turned every long walk into a punishment for me. Orthotics helped, but finding shoes with built-in arch support that actually works? That changed everything. No more jamming insoles into shoes that weren't designed for them.

Not everyone wants to drop $150 on walking shoes, and honestly you don't always have to. These cheaper pairs punched way above their price tag and a couple of them outperformed shoes that cost twice as much.
