Central Florida's craft beer scene has exploded, and after years of bar-hopping the taprooms from downtown Orlando to Winter Garden and Sanford, these are the breweries I bring out-of-town friends to first. Expect bold IPAs, easy-drinking lagers, dog...
Map
Tucked inside the Plant Street Market, this is my favorite weekend hang. Grab a flight, wander the food hall, and people-watch in historic downtown Winter Garden.
Crooked Can Brewing Company
A gorgeous taproom just north of downtown with a fun carnival theme and a great patio. Their crisp lagers are perfect for sipping on a warm Florida evening.
Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company
One of Orlando's most decorated newer breweries. The hazy IPAs and fruited sours are consistently excellent, and the bright, modern taproom is always buzzing.
Sideward Brewing Co.
A Mills 50 staple with a rotating lineup of seriously good IPAs and stouts. Cozy, welcoming, and almost always has a food truck parked right outside.
Ten10 Brewing Company
Geeky, fun, and packed with wild experimental brews. The barrel-aged offerings are worth the short drive north, and the vibe is pure Central Florida fun.
Hourglass Brewing
A laid-back neighborhood spot with great beer and an even better community feel. Dog-friendly, welcoming to first-timers, and a favorite low-key hang of mine.
Broken Strings Taproom
My go-to near the convention center, perfect before or after an event on I-Drive. Solid core beers, a roomy taproom, and an easygoing crowd every time.
Dead Lizard Brewing Company
A veteran-owned brewery in Baldwin Park with a welcoming taproom and rock-solid beers. Easy to reach from the Kissimmee side and always a friendly crowd.
Tactical Brewing Co.
Anchor of the historic downtown Sanford beer scene. Great brews plus a full kitchen with seriously good wings make it a destination, not just a quick stop.
Sanford Brewing Company
A community favorite with a big, welcoming taproom and consistently great beer. Bring the family and the dog; everyone fits right in here.
Red Cypress Brewery
A unique brewery near the airport with a soaring, cathedral-like space. The Belgian-style beers are a standout and the atmosphere is unlike anywhere else in town.
Castle Church Brewing Community
A charming family-run spot in downtown Sanford with a personal touch. The lineup is approachable and the owners treat you like a regular from day one.
Wop's Hops Brewing Company
A fun downtown Sanford taproom with a rotating, adventurous beer list and a great street-side patio. The perfect stop on a Sanford Ave brewery crawl.
Dees Brothers Brewery
A friendly Curry Ford West neighborhood brewery with a bright, beachy vibe and an on-site pizza kitchen. Great beer plus a slice makes it an easy weeknight win.
