Central Florida has one of the richest Cuban food scenes outside Miami, and these are my favorite spots across Kissimmee, Orlando, and beyond. From pressed Cuban sandwiches and lechon asado to a strong cafe cubano, here's where to find the real thing...
One of Orlando's most iconic Cuban spots — the pressed Cuban sandwich and black beans are legendary. Order at the window and grab a seat; it's fast, fresh, and always packed for a reason.
Black Bean Deli
A SoDo institution since the '70s and self-billed as “The Home of Paella.” The ropa vieja and paella are the move, and portions are huge. Old-school Cuban done right.
Numero Uno Cuban Restaurant
The name says it all — this no-frills spot on Lee Road presses one of the best Cubanos in town. Crispy, pressed, and loaded; grab a couple to go and thank me later.
Cuban Sandwiches To Go
A convenient, sit-down Cuban spot near Dr. Phillips and the parks. The palomilla steak and vaca frita are standouts, and it's a solid escape from tourist-trap dining.
Havana's Cuban Cuisine
Gloria and Emilio Estefan's upscale Cuban restaurant at Sunset Walk in Kissimmee, with live music and a gorgeous room. Come for the lechón asado and a proper night out.
Estefan Kitchen Orlando
A charming little spot in downtown Kissimmee for a strong café cubano, tostada, and croquetas. Perfect for a quick Cuban coffee-and-pastry break while exploring Broadway.
Buchito
A downtown Orlando cafeteria-style spot for hearty, affordable Cuban plates. Point at the steam trays for lechón, ropa vieja, and rice and beans — fast, filling, and authentic.
Latin Square Cuisine
A cozy Winter Park neighborhood cafe for Cuban comfort food — pressed Cubanos, croquetas, and a proper café cubano. Unassuming from the outside, but the food is the real deal.
Rincón Latino Restaurant & Café
A gorgeous Havana-inspired space at Pointe Orlando on I-Drive — perfect for a date night or mojito flight. Modern Cuban plates plus one of the best rum lists in the city.
Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar
A local favorite for generous, home-style Cuban plates — the ropa vieja and croquetas are excellent. Casual, friendly, and consistently satisfying.
Rincón Criollo
A gorgeous Havana-inspired room at Pointe Orlando on I-Drive with live music and mojitos. The lechon and vaca frita are excellent, and it's my go-to for a lively Cuban night out.
Old Havana Cuban Bar & Cocina
A Tampa institution since 1905 with a gorgeous location in Celebration. The 1905 Salad, Cuban sandwich, and roast pork a la Cubana are timeless. Perfect for a special-occasion Cuban dinner near the parks.
Columbia Restaurant - Celebration
A cozy neighborhood Cuban spot with hearty, well-priced plates. The ropa vieja and sweet plantains hit the spot, and the cafe con leche is the real deal for a Kissimmee lunch.
Havana Bistro & Cafe
A fast-casual favorite for a fresh, pressed Cuban sandwich and a strong cafe con leche. Locations all over Central Florida make it my reliable go-to when I need a quick Cuban fix.
Zaza New Cuban Diner
A no-frills, family-run spot that locals rave about for generous, authentic Cuban plates. The lechon and steamed-table classics are the move, and the prices keep me coming back.
