Join the virtual line in the Universal app the SECOND you tap into the park - it fills for the whole day by mid-morning. Worth every bit of planning; it's the most impressive dark ride Universal has ever built.
Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry™ | Epic Universe
Buy the Power-Up Band before you ride - your steering and coin grabs actually count toward team score, and the AR visor makes it a different ride every time. Aim at the item boxes, not the karts.
Mario Kart™: Bowser's Challenge | Universal Orlando Resort
The boost-jump track gaps feel way riskier than they are - trust it. Lines are shortest during the first hour and the last hour; skip it mid-day when Super Nintendo World is packed wall to wall.
Mine-Cart Madness™ | Donkey Kong Ride | Universal Epic Universe
Ask for the front row - the launch over the Isle of Berk lagoon with nothing in front of you is the single best view in the park. Great starter coaster for kids working up to Stardust Racers.

The KUKA robot arms throw you around like a rag doll in the best way - hit Dark Universe in the evening when families with young kids have cleared out and the wait drops hard. Not for the easily spooked.
Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment
The spinning family coaster everyone underestimates - the launch through the werewolf village at dusk hits different. Single rider line here is a hidden gem when the park's slammed.

Slow ride, huge payoff for little kids - and the elevated track gives you the best photo angles over Super Nintendo World. Do it while waiting on your Mario Kart return time.
Yoshi's Adventure™ - SUPER NINTENDO WORLD
Skip it at noon, ride it after dark - the zodiac mounts rotate and glow while the Celestial Park fountains go off around you. It's a vibe, not a kiddie ride.
Constellation Carousel
Lunch tip: get in line in the app right at 10:45 - by noon the wait for a table is brutal. The Fire Flower spaghetti and question-block tiramisu are worth planning around, and the window animations sell the whole meal.
Toadstool Cafe
The hub world is the hack: gardens, water shows and actual shade make it the best mid-day reset spot. Cut back through it instead of fighting the portal crowds - it's almost always faster.
Celestial Park
The ultimate hack if you can swing it: hotel guests use a dedicated park entrance straight from the lobby, plus early entry. Even if you don't stay, the rooftop bar overlooking the park is open to the public.

The virtual queue app-checking drains your phone by 2pm - this thing lives in my park bag. Slim enough for a pocket and charges fast enough to matter between return times.
