Fastest coaster Disney has ever built and it's MOSTLY outdoors at night - gorgeous. Join the virtual queue at 7am sharp from your hotel bed, or you likely won't ride. Use a locker; loose items are strict here.
Tron Lightcycle Run | Walt Disney World Resort
Fifty years old and the pitch-black drops still get screams - you never see what's coming. Word is a big reimagining is coming, so ride the original while you can. Waits drop fast in the last hour before close.
Space Mountain
999 happy haunts and the best queue in the park - don't skip the interactive graveyard. It's high-capacity, so the line moves fast even when it looks long. A must at least once per trip.
The Haunted Mansion | Magic Kingdom Attractions
The slow boat through pirate-infested Caribbean towns is still peak Disney world-building. Long, air-conditioned, and rarely a brutal wait - a perfect mid-afternoon escape from the Florida heat.

The skippers' corny jokes change with every boat, so it never gets old for us. Ride it at night if you can - the jungle lit by lanterns is a completely different experience.

Splash Mountain's replacement kept the 50-foot drop and added a zydeco soundtrack that slaps. You WILL get wet - ride it on a hot afternoon and thank us. The firefly finale scene is stunning.
Tiana's Bayou Adventure
A 1971 dark ride that somehow still pulls 60-minute waits - flying your pirate ship over London earns it. Hit it at rope drop right after Mine Train, or save it for the fireworks window.
Peter Pan's Flight | Walt Disney World Resort
Yes the song will live in your head for a week. Do it anyway - it's the most Walt-original ride left, the AC is glorious, and the line is usually short. Grandparents and toddlers both leave happy.

Laser-blaster competition the whole family takes way too seriously. Pro tip: the spinning Z targets are worth the most points - aim for the volcano target in room two and you'll crush everyone's score.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
The local secret: a 10-minute breezy elevated tour of Tomorrowland with basically no wait, including a peek INSIDE Space Mountain in the dark. Our go-to reset when feet hurt and patience is thin.

Walt's own 1964 World's Fair show, still spinning. It's 20 minutes of seated AC with a theme song you'll hum for days - the perfect 2pm thunderstorm shelter, and there's never a line.
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress | Magic Kingdom Attractions
Grab your spot 45+ minutes early. Locals' viewing hack: the Plaza Garden areas flanking the hub see the castle projections perfectly with half the crush, or watch from behind the castle in Fantasyland for shorter exit lines.
Happily Ever After – Magic Kingdom Fireworks
The 3pm parade is legitimately great - the Maleficent dragon breathes real fire. Local trick: watch from Frontierland where it starts, then hop on rides while Main Street is still packed.
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade
Our one gear must-pack for this park: soak it at a water fountain, wring it out, and it stays cold on your neck through the July line for Mine Train. Under $15 and it saves the afternoon.
