Friar's Bay is our favorite beach on the island. Add in this nice restaurant at the quieterend of the beach and you've have absolute paradise. You can rent chairs with umbrellas. The servers will bring food and drinks to you. It's fantastic.

Our favorite Lolois definitely Sky's the Limit. I could eat there for every single meal. Their noodles are so good! The meats are yummy, too! This is an absolute must when in Sint Martin.

Nice place right on the beach on the French side. Plenty of parking across the street. The food is phenomenal. The drinks are amazing. We were able to sit and eat with our feet in the sand. It was super romantic.

Zee Best Restaurant

This is the most popular bar on Maho beach to watch the planes come in. It is usually packed and hard to find a seat. So get there early. We love going here to get a drink and people watch. So much fun!

Things to Do

Saint Martin has so many beautiful beaches. There are other things to do besides just lounging on the beach and playing in the surf if you need a change. This is a list of our faves. Let me know if you have questions. I'm here to help.

So many beautiful beaches! My favorites are Friar’s Bay and Happy Bay. Orient Bay is nice, but a little rougher surf. But great for windsurfing! Friar’s Bay has a few great places to eat and drink. And the water is calmer.

St Martin / St Maarten Beaches

The malecon in Philipsburg is close to the place where the cruise ships dock. It's an easy five to ten minute walk from the docks. There are a ton of shops and eateries. Yiu can rent chairs and umbrellas on the beach and just hang out. There are a fe...

Front Street is the go to for Duty free shopping. It's easy to walk the streets. Just make sure that you can say no. Some of the vendors are super pushy.

Frontstreet in Philipsburg

Oh ya! This is a must do. If for nothing else, watching the people get blown over and pelted with sand is pretty funny! It gets loud. So be aware of that. There are bars at either end of the beach where you can sit without the physical damage. 😬🫣

Happy Bay Beach - Nudity Optional

Definitely do this if snorkeling or scuba diving isn't your thing. This is a fun and safe way to go underwater without worrying about how to breathe through a mask. There are so many fish to see. We also saw lobsters and sting rays.
