My MUST HAVE shoes for every occasion
There are certain things in life that follow us through every chapter, and shoes are one of them. If you’re like me, born in 1987, you know exactly what I mean — some pairs become little time capsules, taking you straight back to the schoolyard, teenage summers, first crushes, early mornings with music in your headphones, and later into the chaos and beauty of adulthood. Growing up in the 80s and 90s, the classics were everything: Adidas Superstar, Reebok Classic, Converse, Air Force 1… the real evergreens. Wearing them today feels like carrying a soft piece of childhood with you, something familiar that still fits perfectly into busy adult life. Then came the running sneakers — the ones we used in PE, for those first teenage jogs, and for our early attempts at “being healthy.” Funny how they’re still the shoes we reach for now as women: for walks, fresh air, school runs, chasing kids, resetting our minds, and keeping up with life. They’re soft, cushioned, and supportive in a way that feels like they understand exactly what your days look like. And through all of this, if you’ve trained your whole life like I have, you know the power of proper gym shoes. Weightlifting shoes became a quiet foundation for strength — stable, safe, grounded, helping your body through all the stages life took you through: the teenage gym girl, the young woman discovering her strength, the mom who still chooses herself and her training. And then there are the heels… the timeless ones. The black pair that works for every outfit, the cream pair that feels soft and elegant, the red pair you wear when you want to feel powerful and alive again. They’re for summer nights, dinners, celebrations, or just those rare moments when you’re not running after anyone and can be fully in your feminine energy. These four styles — the classics, the running shoes, the gym shoes, and the heels — tell our whole story without saying a word. They hold our memories, our growth, our strength, our softness, our identity as 80s babies, 90s kids, teenagers finding ourselves, women who train, and mothers who move through life with both love and exhaustion. Some shoes don’t just fit your feet — they fit your life. And the best ones grow with you, from childhood to motherhood and everything in between. 🖤✨
