My daughter's first two teeth came in the same week we started solids. Every hard spoon made her wince. These silicone ones were the only reason we didn't quit purees entirely.

Runny rice cereal went everywhere with regular spoons. I needed something that actually held onto thin purees without dumping them down her chin every single time.

Puree gets into every tiny crevice if a spoon has seams or joints. I ruined two sets before I learned to only buy spoons with zero places for sweet potato to hide and turn into cement overnight.
