The foundation fix. My sofa frame was fine but the cushions had nothing solid underneath anymore. Sliding a support board under there was the single biggest difference I noticed, like sitting on a completely different couch.

Support boards handle the base, but if your foam has gone flat, no board alone will save you. Replacing the actual foam inside the cushion covers brought back that brand-new firmness I forgot existed.

Nothing more annoying than fixing your cushion firmness only to have them slide forward every time you stand up. These grippers ended the constant readjusting that was driving me crazy.

Once I fixed the structure, the covers still looked stretched and sad. A fitted slipcover hid all the evidence and made the whole thing look intentional instead of rescued.

Fixing the seat was only half the battle. My lower back still ached after an hour because the back cushions had zero support left. Adding lumbar pillows turned my couch into something I could actually sit on for a whole movie.

Random stuff I needed along the way that I didn't think about until I was mid-project. Zippers broke, fabric tore, and I needed a staple gun at 9pm on a Tuesday. Learn from my chaos.
