Cold air was sneaking through every single-pane window in my place. I tried three different film kits before landing on the ones that stay put all winter without peeling off in a week.

Film handles the glass, but cold air was still blasting through the gaps around my window frames. These foam strips finally plugged those invisible leaks I kept feeling with my hand.

After sealing the glass and frames, I still felt a chill radiating off the windows at night. Hanging thermal curtains was the final layer that made the living room actually warm after sunset.

Realized cold air pools along the bottom of windows and doors like water. These draft blockers catch what film and curtains miss, especially on windy nights when everything gets tested.

Some gaps were too big for foam tape. Caulking around the exterior trim and interior frame edges made a permanent difference that I wish I'd done years ago instead of stuffing towels in the cracks.

Learned the hard way that a hair dryer alone doesn't cut it and scissors leave jagged edges. These tools made the whole installation process faster and less frustrating, especially doing multiple windows in one day.

Once drafts were sealed, I didn't need the central heat cranked to max anymore. A small space heater in whatever room I was actually using cut the bill even further without freezing the rest of the place.
