Mary Balogh is a very prolific Regency romance writer. This is one of my favorite series, the Survivors' Club series.

Another of my favorite series by Balogh, the Huxtable series.
Mary Balogh's Huxtable series
I've read them all… some several times. I love the mix between the historical Regency novel and the romance.
Mary Balogh's Westcott series
This series focuses on older protagonists rather than young people. A refreshing change!
Mary Balogh Remember series
This is a trilogy with a common theme.

This one was of course turned into a TV series but I always prefer the books.

My favorite Balogh series because I love the Duke of Bedwyn.

Another series where I much prefer the books to the TV series. The first books are great!
Virgin River (Virgin River Series #1)| Robyn Carr
One exception… I actually prefer the TV series to the book, which I read after having seen the TV show. I thought the writing not very good, with simplistic plot and character. Nothing to compare to Mary Balogh!

This isn't only romance but still strangely haunting.

Does this qualify as a romance? I think so. Very touching in any case.

Classic American romance but well written.
