What Supplies Do Beginning Knitters Really Need?

Yarn is available in a lot of styles, and craft stores have a good variety to choose form. Start with some less-expensive yarn to learn to knit, then upgrade to nicer yarn when you're ready to do a fancy project for yourself later. (affiliate link)
