Started with a cheap foam ball set that fell apart in two days. These three held up through painting, repainting, and being carried to school for show-and-tell.

Regular craft paint dried weirdly on foam and plastic. Took me three failed attempts before landing on paints that actually stuck and looked like real planets.

She asked questions faster than I could Google answers, so I grabbed books that actually held her attention instead of reading like textbooks.

After we built the model she wanted her bedroom to match. These turned her ceiling into something she stares at every night while quizzing herself.

Painting got her interested but repetition locked it in. These gave her ways to practice planet order without realizing she was studying.

Figured if she's staring at her walls anyway, they might as well have planets on them. Passive learning is real and my electricity bill proves she leaves the night light on to see them.

Once the model was done she wanted more — a paper mache sun, a mobile, clay moons. Having supplies ready meant I could say yes instead of ‘maybe next weekend.’

The model kit lit a fuse and now everything is space. These keep the momentum without me having to plan structured lessons — she just plays and absorbs.
