As the oldest city west of the Blue Ridge Mountains- Winchester, VA is a small city in Northern Virginia. Located roughly an hour outside of DC, with a rich history Winchester remains a city proud of its historical roots, while embracing a dynamic future. It is recognized for it's yearly Apple Blossom festival, Shenandoah University, and being one of George's Washington's home locations. There are many must-do's if you happen to be near the area, or this would make a great weekend getaway.

When i was younger I was always one of those kids that always had a book, I would LOVE the summer challenge to see how many books I could read to get free pizza. I'd get a 500 page book for Christmas and have it finished by the end of the day. But of course as I got older and life happened, I fell out of that habit. A few years ago I rediscovered reading and this list is my favorite book recommendations that have reignited my love for reading. Paper back edition for those who love to have a physical book. My favorite genres are fantasy, romance, and psychological thrillers. Although most of these do include best sellers, some of them are a little more unknown and underrated in my opinion.

As someone who's little is 5 and has been on more plane rides than most of my colleagues, I have become a pro at traveling with littles. Traveling with kids is never easy, I always say it's not a vacation, it's just parenting in a different state or country.
