items Wanting to Read books to my boys that actually teach them lessons over just a goofy read that they don’t learn anything from. So here is a list that we have or had a few of the series and know they are good and educational.
This is my TOP FAVORITE!! Awesome Christmas book!! Great story and lesson of a sled wanting to carry Santa I believe it was and realizing that even though he was little, he could still feel happy through letting kids ride and have fun.
Little Red Sleigh: Heartwarming Christmas Book
I love this series!! They teach that just because you are young you can still do big things. You just have to start somewhere.
Little Yellow Bus: Brave Kid's Book

Little Orange Pumpkin: Heartwarming Halloween Book

Another for this set, these all show how you can start by doing little things even if it’s not what the adults do and you can still do the small things and it will be just as rewarding.

When my oldest was 2 he would get me to read this story every night. It was one of his favorites. We loved it. There were also things we food count like bugs and flowers on different pages which made it fun for him too. The Scarecrow was a safe haven...
The Scarecrow: A Fall Book for Kids
This storybook we had as kids when I was young. It’s written by a Christian Publisher and the lesson is on Pride. And how it can ruin things for you when you’re prideful.
Chester the Rooster
This book is about contentment, and how everyone always thinks the grass is greener on the other side of the pasture. Another good lesson learning book we love.
Snoopy the Sheep
The lesson in this book and the first book from the series, is about laziness. And how the horse Danny didn’t want to work! All of these animal stories were centered around the Pleasant Valley Farm.
Danny the Workhorse
Shadow was a good example of diligence. And in this story she has kittens which the kids always love that part.

This went through two of my boys, great realistic pictures that’s aren’t cartoons for babies and toddlers to learn how to count.

I always buy the board books as they last a lot longer. This one is my youngest favorite, he loves animals and all the pictures are real not cartoons.
My First Animals: Let's Squeak and Squawk!
My boys loved the Poke-a-Dot books, they have a few different ones. And the pop its make it interactive for the toddlers while reading. My only down side of these books is they don’t stay together as well, because they are so thick.
Melissa & Doug Poke-a-Dot: Old Macdonald’s Farm
I have the best memories of my parents reading this book to us kids on how big parents love really is. It’s a very heart warming read.
