items Self proclaimed foodie (who is a little picky and also vegetarian lol). I have kids that go with me everywhere so I’m always looking for things to do, we love nature and being outside and always look for budget friendly ideas.

This is a small mom and pop vibe with the absolute best food. I venture out and try new things and have not come across anything I didn’t like. Absolutely incredible. When family and friends visit we always go here.
Rice & Spicy Thai Kitchen
Another go to for me for ramen. Very tasty. Cool little spot. Decent amount of merch and snacks for sale too.
Suck It The Restaurant
Tough parking but the ramen is definitely worth it!

As a vegetarian this has been an amazing find. The spices, the flavor combos oh my gosh. Must try!
Himalayan Kitchen
Gorgeous area with various difficulty hikes. Amazingly kind staff. We always find things and activities to attend here. Very kid friendly.
Government Canyon State Natural Area
Fun spot to visit. Lots of walking and not exactly stroller friendly. There’s several sets of stairs to go down or up but it’s a very pretty area with lots of little shops and restaurants.
San Antonio River Walk
My kids love arcades and this one has a little bit for everyone. If you're local, we usually keep our points card and rack them up!
Andretti Indoor Karting & Games San Antonio
An absolute classic and must if you're nearby. Great quality food and pretty quick service, even at the busier times I don't wait terribly long.
In-N-Out Burger
Another good burger spot. I get the veggie burger and it's delicious. I will always recommend a shake, they have a root beer one and it's so tasty!
P. Terry's Burger Stand
Another fun spot. This is also an arcade with a full bowling alley. Everything is on a card, so your tickets just rack up as points that you can buy prizes.
Round1 Bowling & Arcade North Star Mall
Whenever I have company visiting from out of town, we ALWAYS go here! The wait can be long but the drinks are great and the food is amazing!! It's also a place that you can dress up cute for a nice brunch with the girls!
First Watch
Another good breakfast spot, with another worth it wait! They have excellent food and the one I went to had such a beautiful surrounding area, with the cutest little pop-up market going on when I visited.
Magnolia Pancake Haus
A nice little spot, we usually go as a family and there is something for everyone. My younger sons can be picky and they love this place!
Las Palapas
I am a huge beverage girly. I can have liquids all day and forget to eat lol. Swig is such a big spot for me for this exact reason! The possibilities are endless, with tons of sugar free options! I've loved everything I've ordered so far.

Zoo passes are pretty affordable so we utilize them, summers we play in the small water spot, and love to walk around and play. You can make a whole day out of it or a fun small trip to hang out and grab lunch.
