Winter stuff was always the hardest to wrangle because everything is bulky and slides off regular hangers. These blues hold heavyweight knits and jackets without stretching anything out.

Summer clothes are lighter but they slip off everything. Green hangers became my signal that warm weather is here, and the velvet surface keeps tank tops from ending up on the closet floor.

Not everything fits neatly into summer or winter. Gray became my neutral zone for jeans, everyday tees, and pieces I wear regardless of temperature.

I kept forgetting where my nice clothes were hiding. Giving formal pieces their own color means I can spot a cocktail dress in two seconds instead of panic-searching an hour before an event.

Workwear needed its own lane because I was mixing casual Friday tees with Monday meeting blazers. Black hangers section off the professional stuff so weekday mornings run on autopilot.

Gym clothes and pajamas were invading every section of my closet. White hangers corralled them into one spot so I can grab workout gear fast and stop wearing leggings to the grocery store by accident.

Color coding only works if you can see where one section ends and another begins. Dividers made the whole system click, especially when I'm doing the big seasonal swap.

When I pull the green hangers out for winter, those summer clothes need somewhere to go. Proper bins keep them clean and moth-free instead of stuffed in garbage bags on the shelf.

Learned the hard way that storing wool without protection is basically an invitation for moths. Found holes in a cashmere sweater after one summer in a bin. Never again.

The hangers are the backbone, but a few extras turned my closet from functional to actually fast. Hooks, cascading connectors, and a decent light made a bigger difference than I expected.

Twice a year I do the big rotation, pulling one color forward and storing the other. Having the right supplies ready means the whole process takes 25 minutes instead of an entire wasted Saturday.
