We recently took a Cruise to the Caribbean and this list provides some of the products that we either took with us that helped or that we wished we had to make things easier that may help you plan.
We bought about 8 of these on the ship when we boarded because the kids didn’t want to wear the necklaces. The bands are perfect for helping them keep track of the medallion. The plastic type that we bought on the ship broke 3 times, so I would defin...
Princess Medallion Watch Band
Add some fun to your cabin door with these Cruise Ship Door magnets. Kids had fun putting them on.
Cruise Ship Door Magnets
We used these hooks to hang up medallions, robes and for our trip since it was over Christmas, we hung stockings from them for the kids.
Magnetic Hooks / Industrial Hooks
We laid out in the sun on the top deck of the boat and it got HOT! One of these misting water bottle fans would have been fantastic to have!
Water Bottle With Sprayer Mist With Fan
We brought these towel chair bands not knowing if we would even use them. The very first day we laid out in the sun was very breezy. The towels kept blowing off the chairs, so these came in handy and we used them every day that we laid out on the shi...
Towel Chair Bands
We used our beach bag every time we got off the boat. We did have one day that poured out, so one of the bags we had was waterproof and came in very handy, but on the sunny days, the regular ones worked just fine.
Beach Bags
If you or your kiddos will be shell hunting on your cruise, do yourself a favor and bring along one of these sifters for sifting out the sand and save your fingers from digging in the rough sand.
Sand Sifter
We had one of these passport holders for the passport cards that we had for all of the kids. It was really nice going through the airport to keep them all organized and then put them all back in once through security.
Passport Holder
Our flight allowed a personal item for under the seat, a carry on item and a checked bag per person. There are many options to choose from online, the newer tan ones are my favorite.
Tan Luggage
These personal item backpacks are ideal for air travel. I like the ones that include room for a laptop and an iPad so that I can use it for traveling for both work and leisure.
Personal Item Backpack
These Birkenstock sandals are my absolute favorite! Comfortable enough to walk miles while off the boat as well as through the sandy beaches.
Birkenstock Arizona White
We did actually use tanning oil on the cruise. While we started with the sunscreen, the first couple of days we were able to use the oil as the sun didn’t get as hot until we got further south.
Tanning Oil With Spf
Lot of choices of sunscreen, but don’t let this be the thing you forget! The sunscreen on the cruise was around $30 per bottle and close to that at the ports. Take more than you need to save money.
Spray Sunscreen
If you are traveling with friends or family, there are games on deck, but they aren’t necessarily available so we brought our own cards to play whenever we wanted.
Deck Of Cards
This was the best thing to have for later at night when we didn’t want to go to a show. Our family sat at a table and all played Phase 10 together and had a few drinks. Was a nice way to end the night.
Mattel Phase 10 Card Game, 108 Cards
There were a ton of kids in the airport that we part of families whose had delayed flights. The only kids that had smiles on their faces yet were the ones being pulled on these ride-on suit cases, which also relieved those already stressed parents fr...
Ride On Suitcase For Kids
I bought a couple of these coverups for the cruise and I absolutely loved them. They covered up enough, yet were light enough to not be too hot in the sun.
CUPSHE Women's Swimwear Cover Ups
These shell collection bags are perfect for taking with to the beaches on the cruise to bring back some shells. They have holes in so they an be rinsed out before going back on the cruise as well.
Seashell Collecting Bag
We didn’t have enough time to get any of these sand containers before we left, but this would have been a great idea to gather some sand from each beach that we visited on the cruise.
Glass Jar For Sand
TONS of people on our cruise had these patches on. We didn’t have anyone in our group that needed them, but we had them on hand just in case.
Seasick Patch
These sea bands are another option for those who suffer from motion sickness if the patch or the pills are not what you are looking for.
Sea Bands
Dramamine has always been the go to for motion sickness. There are different options for drowsy, non-drowsy, less-drowsy, etc. depending on your level of motion sickness.
Non Drowsy Dramamine
The one thing that we wished we had gotten was an underwater camera for our snorkeling excursion. There were none available at any of the ports either, so definitely pack one if you could use one.
Underwater Camera
We had to bring our favorite game along so we could get some games of cribbage in on the ship. The foldable travel board is great for transporting in luggage as well.
Travel Cribbage Board
Uno was another game that we saw a lot of other families playing during the day while at sea. Doesn’t take up much room in the luggage and gives the kids something to do for some time.
