Proprietary trading firms are companies that allow skilled traders to trade the financial markets using the firm’s own capital rather than their personal funds. In exchange, the trader keeps a share of the profits earned, usually a split between 70-90% in favor of the trader, while the firm covers losses up to a set limit. To be able to join a prop firm, one must take an evaluation. Once they pass, they receive a funded trading account. My goal was to get funded so I took a number of evaluations, honestly, it's quite challenging to maintain an account. But for a disciplined trader with a proven strategy, you will most likely make money in this business.

Trading psychology books teach the mental and emotional skills that separate consistent traders from impulsive ones. While technical analysis and market knowledge are essential, psychology determines how well you can apply that knowledge under pressure. I learned from these books the importance of discipline in this kind of profession, developing resilience and patience, dealing with losses constructively and developing a winning mindset. The trading arena is not only a training ground for traders' mindset but also helps on the overall personal development.
