A variety of books my kids enjoy at various ages that are interactive in various ways, and that we truly enjoy reading together.
This books is a great read, and due to the repetition, kids can enjoy knowing what's coming, and join in saying it with you. A fun book great for all ages (but beware, you may want tacos after reading the book lol).
Dragons Love Tacos
This is a fun book with some repetition that my kids enjoy knowing is coming, and participate in. Despite having read it repeatedly, they both enjoy it, at 5 and 1, and it is a regular at bedtime.
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
This is a fun book, that shows the power of quick thinking in a funny way, and that size isn't the only thing that matters. Helped us talk about "monsters", and how they aren't real, but they're fun to imagine. Great illustrations.
The Gruffalo
This is a rarity in a sequel being almost as good as the original. My kids enjoy this one almost as much as the Gruffalo.
The Gruffalo's Child|Paperback
A great way to talk about being patient, and preparing for events, outings, or everyday tasks. Simple and easy to read, but great to remind kids about being patient and ready, like the pigeon.
Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!
This is a fun, interactive book, great for kids of various ages. My 1y/o enjoys it, as does my 5y/o.
Don't Push the Button!
Another absolute favourite here. We’re always laughing heartily by the end of this book, about a very serious goose, who may not quite be so serious, after all,
The Serious Goose
Another book that asks the reader to do some simple actions (whisper, knock on the door, and a few others), and helps hold everyone's interest.
Don't Wake The Dragon: An Interactive Bedtime Story!
I was hesitant that a book with no pictures would be enjoyed, but it's a favourite here. The silly words make it a lot fun for various ages.
The Book With No Pictures
Since this book has few words, it's wonderful for talking about what is happening in the story, and getting your little one to read it to you, or to a sibling (the words don't need to be read, as you can see what animal is featured, and the other wor...
Good Night, Gorilla
"Is none a number?". If you've ever wondered, this book will explain it to you in a fun way that has kids enjoying learning.
None the Number (Hueys Series #3)
A story about a little boy learning that a penguin he found isn't lost, but lonely, and the adventure of how he comes to that conclusion.
Lost and Found|Hardcover
A wonderful gift for anyone having a baby, or with a young child. A lighthearted story about why each colour has quit, and how Duncan can get them back to doing what they do best.
The Day the Crayons Quit|Hardcover
The adventures of Min the microbe, helps explain things in a fun format.
