Keeping our Helmet Wearing Baby Comfy & Cool
Our little one has a large melon in the 94th percentile, and got a significant flat spot that can only be fixed with a helmet. It was a big change, but here are the things that make it help make it a little better
Staying Cool - Looking Cool
Everything to keep him cool, since he is prone to overheating with the helmet
We keep a car seat cooling pad, in a cooler, in our car, and place it in his seat before we go in the store. When we come out, the car seat is cooled down for him. This also works great in the stroller too!
This fan is a lifesaver when it comes to keeping him cool. We can put it in the car so he has air on him, it hooks to his stroller, and can be set down on the ground with him when outside playing on a hot day

Splash pads are perfect! Especially if you do not have a pool, they keep him cool and entertained

What to have on hand
Everything that makes life a little easier, because you little will be happy, even though he's stuck in a helmet.
This is the perfect skin barrier to put on your babies little head before the helmet goes on to help with irritation
Since he is bathed every night, we got a gentle shampoo to help not dry out his skin. We also use this to clean his helmet when it gets really gross/stinky
Mix a 50/50 of Alcohol and water to a spray bottle and DRENCH the helmet when you take it off for bath time, will help clean and deodorize it.
Time for a new car seat! With his helmet, his newborn car seat wouldn't work because his helmet was to large and he couldn't move his head. A big boy car seat was a must
Bath Time Fun
Because of how sweaty (and stinky) they are, you have to give them a bath every night, so lets make it fun!
Literally the easiest and CHEAPEST bath toys. They are colorful, float, and you can put the whole bag in the tub to make it endlessly fun
