Frito Pie! Do you remember these? Its Fritos with cheese, chili and salsa. So yummy. We like their BBQ plates with ribs and tri tip here. They have cute merch also.

If you like Monkeypod on Maui, you will like Merrimans too. Everyone " who knows" knows that you have to have the Mai Tai with the lilikoi foam. I am telling you - once you have it, you will keep coming back!  We went for happy hour 4:00 PM – 5: 00 PM at the Bar. Great apps and view. Perfect start to the evening. The plaza hosts a farmers market- check local listings for details.

Go get your Puka dog and walk across the street to the beach and watch the sunset and say you saw the “green flash” - just when the sun dips below the horizon.  
 The sauces are where it is at, lots of choices and you pretty much cant go wrong. A nice grab and go snack/meal when you are out and about.

BBQ in Kauai? Yes. We have been back everytime we are on the island. People are friendly and the food is really good. They have the Frito Pie which is a family favorite. Cute merch too!

Love this shave ice truck. Usually near the pizza truck - at least when we have been there. Love the Wailua Sunrise with the Haupia foam (coconut milk). No artificial dyes -made with fresh fruit.

Explore the property by train, schedule a rum tasting (then go to Costco and pick up some POG and your favorite bottle of Rum for later). If you have a young one, the train safari ride is always a fun adventure. Nice way to spend the afternoon.

We had to check out of our condo elsewhere  but our flight was not until 10pm. We decided to book a cabana and relax by the pool for our last day. It was so nice not to rush around but just lounge by the pool, then get ready for our last dinner and  head to the airport. We booked it via the Resort Pass website.
