Otis and Emily approved goodies! Our little Coton de Tulear dogs make our lives fun and complete! Emily is 8 and Otis is 7. They are called “clown” dogs for a good reason! We laugh with them everyday. Cotons need to be groomed and we take them to a groomer for haircuts. But I relax some evenings by brushing out their ears and tails.

Let’s slow down to enjoy the creative process with helpful tools. This list contains items I have in my art box! I’m a beginner artist, over a year into it. I love the calmness of watercolor, actually any type of painting is calming for me. But watercolor is less physical than painting a room! 🤣 You might find a sprinkling of other types of paint in my list too! Paper crafts and creating journals are mindful and relaxing as well, so I’ve included some of my favorites here too.

Curl up with a book for a few minutes daily. It’s great for your heart, mind and soul. The collection contains books to read, cookbooks, (I also curl up and read my cookbooks!) Plus my favorite journals. Some are for writing, some are for art, and some are for both! 😉

So, we lost our kitchen for 3 weeks while painters painted our island creamy white and restrained our surrounding cabinets. We also installed a new fridge, stovetop, oven, and the most amazing sink, in my opinion 🥰

After moving back to my hometown, I’m enjoying the fascinating history, OK land run, Indigenous culture, oil boom, & the characters that made their lives in Ponca.
