Etsy Art I Have Painted
This is the piece of art I used for the journal cover. I was experimenting with watercolor and gold leaf. I think the result turned out amazing.
I painted this with arcylic paints. I always use actual pictures as a reference. Flowers are my favorite subject to paint. This is one of my favorites.
Again this was painted with acrylic paint. This one is actually a large piece and I wanted something unique with the sky and waves.
I hand painted the background with watercolor then put the text on in Canva. I love this quote.
I painted this with watercolor. I used the notebook as a sample of what you could do with the picture. This would be beautiful in a living room printed on canvas as well.
This is a print on demand item but I used a computer drawing program to “paint” the flower. Then repeated it for an all over design.
My Inspiration
Vincent Van Gogh was and always will be my favorite artist. I always felt so drawn to his works of art.
Landscapes are one of my favorite subjects to paint and I always use either a photograph of my own or something I find as reference.
Flowers are always my go to and favorite subject to paint. Always. This is a great picture book or even real flowers are perfect for a point of reference.
If you are ever in New York this should be on your must stop at list. Such a great museum with amazing art.
Once again New York has a must stop on your list of amazing museums. The Van Gogh exhibit is reason alone to venture there.
Favorite Supplies
This is what I used to create the flower in the drawing program that comes with the device. Of course the keyboard and pen are seperate but to get started I would suggest just the pen. I never ended up using the keyboard.
This is a great watercolor set to get started with your new craft. The swatch paper is great to test out colors before putting in on your piece.
When it comes to paint brushes you do not want to buy cheap. When you're chasing bristles instead of painting you will understand what I mean.
This brand is one of my go-tos. The colors are beautiful, they blend amazingly, and overall great price for the product you receive.
This size canvas is a great start. Don't be intimidated by the size!
The watercolor medium needs a specific kind of paper to create on. This is a great price for the amount of sheets you get.
You will need a paint pallet for mixing colors and keeping control of the amount of paint used. Some even come with a top cover to keep the paint moist.
You will want a different variety of sizes for the brushes. From super small for the little details to very large to cover a large space quicker.
