Girl in Pieces by Kathleen Glasgow
I read this book when I was in 9th grade and I think it's an amazing book to start out on if you want to get into reading. It's short and easy to read, but also has an amazing plot. 10/10
Orbiting Jupiter: Heartfelt Coming-of-Age Novel
This book will make you very conficted if you know Greek mythology because it's supposed to be an unreliable narrator view of Achilles, and gosh it does it well. It's a beautiful book and well written, very depressing.
The Song of Achilles: A Novel (P.S.)
This book is such a good representation of platonic soulmates and brotherhood. It had the heartfelt story line with funny and cute moments mixed in; it's a very well written story. The movie is also a well-made adaptation.

I read this book in I believe 6th grade and wow. I truly think everyone should read it at least once in their life. Her story is just so real and I also think it's a good way to introduce history lessons to your kids!
Esperanza Rising (Scholastic Gold) by Ryan
