Great for breakfast or a coffee and cake. Walk round the abbey gardens and then pay them a visit!
Pilgrims' Kitchen
Hands down the best fish and chips! They do a variety of other things too but the cod is skinless and always get a plentiful serving of chips. I highly recommend you give them a try.
Rumbles Fish Bar
The beautiful abbey gardens with its scenic gardens, abbey ruins. There is a children’s play area, lovely just for a walk or a picnic. Grab an ice cream or a snack or visit the plant shop for a lovely gift.
Abbey Gardens
Great pub for a local ale or a bite to eat. Great atmosphere and a lovely beer garden on a sunny afternoon.
Masons Arms
A lovely local pub with a range of Greene King ales. Great food and a lovely beer garden for the nicer weather.
Dog & Partridge Bury St Edmunds
A fantastic Turkish restaurant. The food is fantastic I can highly recommend giving this a try.
The Sheesh Turkish BBQ
This is a great coffee shop, down the historic St johns street in Bury St Edmunds. Great variety of hot drinks, homemade cakes and bagels etc. it’s definitely worth a visit whilst having a mardle through the variety of shops down this street.

Zen Noodle Bar
Great Indian, great atmosphere and service. We always go here, my partner likes to make changes to his like making it madras hot! They sort him out a treat. Highly recommend giving it a visit.

So this has been here for such a long time but I hadn’t visited in over 20 years. My partner took me for a breakfast, it was very busy but well worth the small wait for a table. Hugh amount to choose from on the menu, full English, omelettes, jacket...
