I tried a cheap chalkboard paint from a craft store first and it scratched off within a week. These are the ones that held up and actually write smooth without that awful screeching sound.

Regular sidewalk chalk is too thick and dusty for a kitchen door. I went through four brands before finding ones that write clean lines and wipe off without ghosting.

The chalkboard door was step one. But I also needed a system so I wasn't just staring at a blank door every Sunday. These made the actual planning part take 15 minutes flat.

Half the reason I never knew what to cook was because my pantry looked like a tornado hit it. Once I could actually see my ingredients, writing the weekly menu became so much easier.

Once the pantry door was done, I went a little overboard and turned the wall next to it into a full command center. But honestly, it cut our morning chaos in half.

Writing the menu was only useful if I actually followed through. These containers made batch cooking and portioning realistic instead of just aspirational.
