These lists are the things that I use for my trips of any length whether it is day hikes, overnighter or multi day trips. Please note that I am NOT ultralight!

My Backpacking & Hiking Blister Free Foot System
My Backpacking experiences have involved footwear that's been too small as well as blisters in weird locations. This is my foot system that works so well for me. Not a single blister in 5 years!
Yes, I buy men's shoes and boots for my hikes, lol. Keen is great for a wider foot, especially in the toe area, but my feet seem to need even more room. I LOVE THESE SHOES for my wilderness trips! Part of my blister avoidance!
Men's Waterproof Brown Hiking Shoes - Targhee III WP
Recently added these to my hiking gear for the off season when things get wet. Keen is my first experience of being blister free! I always buy Men's. I need wider fits.
Targhee IV - KEEN Footwear
Part of my blister free backpacking and hiking gear. My blisters were forming in between my toes. This is my fix, under wool socks paired with my wide fit shoes.
Shop Toesocks & Accessories | Injinji®
I wear these over top my toe sock liners to help avoid blisters. Works very well with my whole good system.
Hiking Socks | Durable Comfort | Smartwool US
The Trek socks are the ones i chose for my last thru hike. I did like them. I still buy them. Bigger size i like best as I found they fit a bit small. And yes i do use men's for my feet gear lol.

Backpacking "Kitchen"
My trail kitchen items (food and water) - not ultralight and some items are not environmentally friendly, but I will address those in the description of those specific items in this list.
One of the few ultralight items I use. Stove for cooking meals on the trail. I'm not quite ready yet to go stoveless lol. Folds up so small and has a cute little storage case. I fit this bad boy right in my bear vault food supply.
PocketRocket 2 Stove
I use this as my pot and my electrolyte drinking cup. My freeze dried and dehydrated meals only need a cup of water so this is perfect for backpack weight savings. It is a little bit dmall gor my stove but I am able to fit in if I am careful. A larg...
Boundless Voyage Titanium Cup with Handle
This is the main fuel that I use for my pocket rocket 2. Usually lasts for a 6 day trip - I have to double check this, I am thinking it might be more...(boiling 3 cups of water a day (medium sized one)
MSR Isopro Fuel
I don't hang my food. A few reasons why, the main one is I prefer the PCT method and the trees where I go are literally too high to get a decent branch that is high enough. I hurt my arm on one trip, and I'd rather set camp, eat and not worry about a...
BearVault BV450 Jaunt Bear Canister - REI Co-op
I am not ultralight and with my experience, this the best option for the temps I hike in. It is a slender bottle, so it fits in my pack side pockets better and its 1.4 litres!! What ultralighters do actually is not good on my trips...but this isn't t...
Nalgene Sustain Wide Mouth Water Bottle 1.4L | MEC
So my Nalgenes are for storage on the trail, and I use this in my waist pack. It's so nice to not have to treat the accessible water. Scoop it up and go. A little bit of an effort to suck it through but honestly, I don't mind it and actually like tha...
Eddy® + filtered by LifeStraw®, 32oz Bottle with Tritan™ Renew
This is my VERY LIGHT purification system. Pop a pill in 1 liter of water, shake for 10 mins, wait a half hour. The wait might not be desirable for some, but the 10 minute shake periods double up as my break tine. I shake 2 bottles at the same time, ...
Aquatabs Water Purification Tablets 1L | MEC
My Backpacking guru friend did a gear shakedown with me...he questioned my choice to carry this. He didn't believe that I needed it and it was unnecessary weight to carry. I insisted on taking it that summer and guess what? I DID get desperate for wa...
LifeStraw - The original award-winning straw-filter – LifeStraw …
For my eddy+ lifestraw bottle, the filter eventually needs to be replaced. This is the replacement filter. It does take a very long time before needing to be replaced but it does need to be done.
LifeStraw® Bottle Filter Set, Large
The Lifestraw peak series is my newer choice for lifestraw. I've always loved the concept behind lifestraw products and will always love the ability to use this directly in a water source as well as a bottle of untreated water.

My Backpacking "House" (More items coming!)
This section contains what I use for my trail "home," including my shelters, sleep system and of course my backpack to carry it all!
My ultralight tent. I dont have many UL items so I'm excited to have this. Easy to put up. I was lucky to get it before pricing increased so it was a bit of a splurge at that time. I will likely never gave my dream tent so I figured this was my only ...
MEC Spark 2.0 2-Person Tent | MEC - MEC Wiki
My 2nd tent. Kept it as a back up. Its not ultralight but it's not too bad considering. Durable, easy set up. It's similar to the MSR Elixir 2 which was my first tent. Good amount of real estate in this bad boy.
MEC Camper 2-Person Tent | MEC - MEC Wiki
I love this sleeping bag. Mummy style. I actually use the hood as an arm cover lol. Not sure why I sleep with it backwards in that way but it's just what felt good one night.
