Transforming your cookies into pretty works of art is easier than you think when you use the right tools and learn a few techniques to help you. I've been making cookies and decorating them with royal icing for several years although it's been mainly for the Christmas season. Everyone loves looking at that smooth, glossy icing and then of coursing eating the cookies! The more you practice with making the royal icing and getting the right consistency the more you will enjoy the process. Royal icing offers loads of creative possibilities!

When you need to pack light as you're going on a longer trip it doesn't mean you have to sacrifice style. I've gotten better and better with my packing list for trips of 2 weeks or longer and fitting everything in just a carry-on luggage and personal bag. This next trip will be challenging for me as I also need to fit my bike helmet inside one of those bags. I love creating and finding new interesting crafts to try. This year I'm expanding on my Resin journey and I bought a Resin Jewelry making kit and wow, I'm loving it! Making resin earrings, pendants and next to try will be keychain charms. Once you have all the right supplies and tips you'll be on your way to a new craft and I'm sure you'll love it too! These resin earrings and pendants can be attached to cards and sold at craft fairs or consignment artisan shops or given as gifts. I like to give them to my mom and sister as well as friends. They always love them!

Traveling to Banff, Alberta is a journey into the heart of the Canadian Rockies. So many stunning landscapes and adventures await you. If you've never visited this place I highly recommend it. You'll seeing stunning view of the emerald waters of Lake Louise, with trails to hike around for optimal viewing. Towering peaks of mountains with scenery beyond expectations and lots of opportunities for exploration. A big highlight for me was the Gondola ride up Sulphur Mountain. There you can do a board walk and have endless panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains. Banff offers hiking, canoeing, biking, and snow sports in the winter. The town of Banff is loaded with an array of shops with souvenirs, artisan shops and clothing for all seasons along with delicious cafes, and restaurant. Don't forget to stop by Mary's Popcorn shop and watch them make and then purchase some amazing classic caramel corn (other flavors available) and maybe some gelato too! Sometimes you just learn something new! It's only recently that I learned what Shrinky Dink Art was and how you could use it in a variety of projects and crafting designs. It's a craft that involves heat shrinkable plastic sheets. Okay, I know plastic but come on it's a craft and kids love it and many adults utilize it too in other creative crafts.
