I grew up going here. Theres a snack stand and plenty of parking and a fun way to spend the day.
Gifford Pinchot State Park - PA DCNR
This is a great place to take a hike and see a GORGEOUS overview. Plus, if you come in winter they have lights set up with hot coca and popcorn.

Need I say more? Dubbed "the sweetest place on earth" there is A LOT to do in this area with a lot of sweets to buy.

If rollercoasters are not your thing, perhaps strolling through a gorgeous garden is!

This place is the top tier of places to go. I actually asked my wife to marry me here. Open year round, if you visit in the spring be sure to visit in the winter as different displays are put up and it's a beautiful place to spend the winter holidays...

Shopping in York, PA - Farmers Markets
This involves a little more travel but it's totally worth it to hear the crashing of the waves and some boardwalk fries.
