I got this stainless steel set years ago as a gift and they have lasted so well! I was strongly encouraged not to put them in the dishwasher, but I'm not about that life. They've been fine.

Stainless steel is great, but I need a wider, non-stick option as well. I usually buy these at Wal-Mart and they last about a year or so, before I need to replace them. Mine never have a lid though. Remember to throw out scratched or otherwise damaged non-stick coating!
