This was hands-down our favorite venue of the year. The amphitheater was extremely clean, well-organized, and clearly prepared for large crowds. I would absolutely recommend it—especially for families. We felt very safe bringing our daughter, which m...

Our family of three stayed at the Moonrise Hotel in June 2024, and the experience exceeded expectations from start to finish.

 Amenities & Comfort

 Luxurious bedding with Serta Enrapture
Euro Top pillow beds
Free high-speed Wi-Fi and HD TVs
Eco-friendly Aveda bath products
A thoughtfully designed accessible room that was comfortable and easy to navigate
(And yes - their accessible rooms are accessible!)

Design & Atmosphere The hotel’s interior is a standout. The whimsical themes, bold colors, and attention to detail create a welcoming, creative atmosphere that feels intentional—not gimmicky.

Location & Experience Located on the Delmar Loop, the hotel offers easy access to local attractions and a rooftop bar with incredible city views.

Bottom line: I don’t think I’ll stay anywhere else in St. Louis. The staff was genuinely hospitable, I felt safe throughout our stay, and everything exceeded expectations. This hotel has real charm, and I highly recommend staying here at least once.

Grubhub came in clutch during our stay. Several hotels even offered guest discounts, which made late-night treats easy and affordable after long days out.

We used Enterprise Rent-A-Car for a short-term rental and drove a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid. The total cost was around $300 for five days, which felt reasonable and practical for our needs.

So the entire we reason we took a jorney from MIssissippi to Missouri was to go and see Noah Kahahan. We wanted to belt out “  I WANNA GOOO TO MAINE” with some random dude after we'd done drove all that way. (You'd get the joke if you knew it was a song)

Lyft can be a huge safety advantage when you’re traveling in unfamiliar areas. A local driver understands the city, current conditions, and which routes or areas to avoid in real time.

If you ever feel lost, overwhelmed, or unsure of your surroundings, order a Lyft and go to the nearest place you do recognize—your hotel, a busy public location, or a well-lit area. Regaining orientation quickly can reduce risk and stress.

Locals know their cities best. Use that knowledge to your advantage.

Follow for more practical, no-nonsense safety advice.

If you’re visiting St. Louis with kids—or want a creative day out that feels magical—you can’t miss The Magic House, St. Louis Children’s Museum. As out‑of‑towners exploring with our daughter, this place stood out immediately for how thoughtfully it ...

From the moment we stepped inside, it felt like walking into a world built for curiosity and imagination. This isn’t a museum where kids passively look at exhibits—they touch, explore, experiment, and create. But what really elevated the experience f...

Immersive, Interactive Fun for All Ages Here’s what we observed that made The Magic House so special:

📍 Interactive Exhibits Everywhere Rooms designed for hands‑on play, from science challenges and art stations to pretend shops and build‑your‑own spaces. Kids can:

Explore sound, motion, and motion physics stations
Navigate pretend play worlds that feel real and inviting

These experiences don’t just keep kids entertained—they spark real curiosity and confidence. But they also look amazing in photos.

Photo Ops That Make Memories Last Even as adults, we found ourselves taking photos just because the moments were that good. Some of the best spots included:

📸 Whimsical Play Spaces Areas with bright colors, interactive walls, and playful landscapes where kids look like they’re living in a storybook.

📸 STEAM Stations in Action Watching our daughter experiment with balance or build a bridge made for some great candid pics—kids in motion look joyful and proud.

📸 Themed Rooms That Pop Pretend storefronts, quirky installations, and creative spaces make every angle feel like a frame‑worthy scene.

Passes That Keep You Coming Back One of the coolest things we learned from locals is how membership passes work. These aren’t just tickets—you can become repeat visitors without buying a new entrance every time. For families who live nearby, that mea...

A Place That Doesn’t Feel Like “Just a Kid Spot” What struck us most was how visually rich and engaging The Magic House is—even as adults. You can:

Watch kids immerse themselves in discovery
Capture those moments on camera
And genuinely enjoy the space alongside them

It’s not just a place to kill an afternoon—it’s a place to make memories. 🌟 If you’re planning a family trip to St. Louis, make sure this one is on your itinerary. And bring your camera… you’ll want the photos.
