Brunch
You can't visit Houston and not stop at the famous Breakfast Klub. Everything is good on the menu, but the chicken and waffles and their fried catfish and grits are top tier.
The Breakfast Klub

They have a great happy hour for oysters. But the real star is their chicken and waffles on the weekends. Probably the best I've ever had, and a HUGE serving for one person, definitely shareable.
La Lucha
Anyone that knows me, knows Brunch is my favorite meal. Taste does brunch so well. They have all of the soul food options, but then they do a nice twist offering variations to the classic chicken and waffles, like red velvet waffles with jerk chicken...
Taste Kitchen + Bar
Love their brunch options, especially their shrimp and grits.
The Honey Hole
Their biscuits are the best I've ever had. Literally meant in your mouth. The chargrilled oysters are also incredible.
Gatlin's Fins & Feathers
Casual Eats
Anytime someone visits Houston, I tell them they can't leave without trying Dona Letis. The surf and turf egg rolls are insanely good. The portions are huge, the drinks are STRONG, and the vibes are there!
Doña Leti's
You can't get more Houston than Trill Burger! Owned by Houston's own Bun B. These smashburgers will have you coming back every time.
Trill Burgers
My tried and true spot for sushi, right in the heart of downtown.
The Fish
A Houston classic. Have to try a yoyos hot dog at least once.

Burger Bodega
Some of the best bbq you'll ever have. Period.
Pinkerton's Barbecue
I love crawfish, and If I could become a crawfish I would. During crawfish season, my favorite place to go is Wolfies and get some crawfish, spicy and double tossed in garlic butter. Go and thank me later.
Wolfies Restaurant and Sports Bar
Cultural Delicacies
The best Jamaican food in the city! The oxtfail philly cheesecake is incredible.
Jamaica Pon Di Road
If you love Indian food, you MUST go to Aga's. My favorite thing about Houston is how multicultural it is and Aga's is the perfect example. Their lamb lollipops and tikka masala are the best.
Aga's Restaurant & Catering
I can't be a Naija foodie in Houston, and not include my go to spot for Nigerian food. Their designer stew and pepper soup always give me my fix without thinking of the work of cooking the meal.
Aria Suya Kitchen - Westheimer
This is a fun fusion twist on West African food. Pro tip, get the golden bowl.
ChòpnBlọk
Dinner
The best steak I've ever had, hand's down. The service is impeccable and the food is delicious. This is where you go for a truly special date night.
Steak 48
This place has a creative menu thats reminiscent of Steak 48, but is a bit more unique. My husband and I loved their steak.
Bungalow Downtown Dining in Houston, TX
Not only is this restaurant absolutley stunning, but the food is incredible. Everything tastes fresh, and quality. But also seasoned perfectly.
Rumi's Kitchen
The aesthetics are beautiful, but the food is just as amazing! Amazing sushi!
TEN Sushi + Cocktail Bar
This upscale restaurant features live-fire cooking with intimate, polished vibes, you honestly can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
Credence
Everyone knows and loves Brenners. The most picturesque date night, over the most delicous food. 10/10 experience.
Brenner's on the Bayou
Sushi AND steak! The best combo. Especially the 24k sushi roll. Chef's kiss.
Haii Keii

Loch Bar
Happy Hour is from 3-6PM Monday through Friday and features a lot of their fan favorite small bites. You need to get their paella and their piri piri chicken wings.
Oporto Fooding House & Wine
One of my favorite Happy Hours in the city right now, and they have $2 lychee martinis all day Thursday. You'll be needing an Uber for sure. Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Alongside $9 rolls, $6 chicken gyoza, and $6 plates of crispy ric...
