Broadway is more than a hobby for me—it’s my full-on special interest. I see at least six shows a year (sometimes more if I can swing it), and the theater has become one of my happiest places. Whether I’m sitting front row or way up in the mezzanine,...
Seen this show 4 times. Maybe it cliche but this is my favorite show. Full stop. The music, the character development, the political commentary, the soundtrack all wrapped up as a prequel to the Wizard of Oz.
Wicked The Musical
Seen this show 2 times. It's fun, bright, and an enhanced version of the original movie.
Aladdin the Musical
Seen twice. Grew on me slowly but I love the soundtrack. This is a little darker and sometimes rauncher than the movie but it's a great show.
ANASTASIA The Musical | Official Tour Site | Home
Seen it 3 times. There's a reason this has been on broadway so long. It's a Disney classic but also brings more depth to African sounds and artistry.
Disney THE LION KING
The national tour was revived for the 25th anniversary and I loved this show so much. The story, the jazz, the precision.
Chicago the Musical | Official Site
You have to see this musical in person to really appreciate it. I love the metaphor of life and the multiple meanings you can draw from it.
Into the Woods tickets
Seen twice. The music, the storyline, rhe societal commentary. Cannot get enough of this show.
Hadestown
Seen twice and it deserves all the hype. It may not be 100% historically accurate but love the diversity/representation, and the political messages that are still relevant today.
Hamilton
I was skeptical about this one but it was so funny! And the costume changes? Amazing.
Mrs. Doubtfire Broadway
I played PIT in high school so this one has always been special to me. It's a classic but I love the music and the comedic moments.
My Fair Lady (Broadway, Times Square Church, 1956)
Just as funny, if not funnier, than the movie. They do a little after show too thats meant to let people sing and dance and have a good time.
MAMMA MIA! - Back on Broadway - Limited 6-Month Engagement
I got to see the premier in Chicago and it was so funny! Definitely adult humor and they did the movie justice.
Death Becomes Her: Official Site
Just as rough as the book. But seeing it in person was emotionally brutal, and yes I'd see it again.
The Kite Runner | Official Site
Some people don't like concert like shows but I've seen this twice. I love the soundtrack and the rewriting of history/female empowerment.
SIX on Broadway
This show is hilarious (and explicit). I've seen it twice and laugh everytime.
The Book of Mormon | Broadway Musical Comedy | Official Site
It's a jukebox musical but I thought it was really thought out and the music choices fit well. I like the unique story of Shakespeare and his wife rewriting Juliet.
