Ireland will always hold a special place in my heart—I studied abroad there for three unforgettable months back in 2013, and honestly, I’d live there in a heartbeat if I could.

Cliffs of Moher Tour/Co. Clare
The Famine was a significant part of Irish history. This is a small yet moving memorial in Co. Clare.
An Gorta Mór "The Great Hunger" Memorial
Cliffs of Moher is a bucket list item for a reason. Not only is it gorgeous, but there's a mini castle with some interesting history at this site.
Cliffs of Moher
I wouldnt say this is a go out of your way stop, but if you can find a tour that includes it, it's an interesting piece of landscape.
The Burren
Tomb that dates back to 3000 B.C. I love how Ireland preserves real places as mini "museums" to tell history's story.
Poulnabrone Dolmen
Another historical site to stop at if passing/on a tour. It may seem odd to want to visit graveyards but there's just something about them that make you appreciate history.
Killinaboy Church
Co. Kerry
Ireland has no shortage of castles. It's history dates back to the Irish confederate wars and is def worth the admission price/tour.
Ross Castle
Because this was part of a school tour I'm not 100% this is the group they went through but I highly recommend a lake tour. It's both rich in history and gorgeous views.
Killarney Lake Tours
Gorgeous waterfall and not a hard hike at all.
Torc Waterfall
We didn't have time to stop in but it is am additional item you can include on your trip if needed.
County Kerry
We only had a few hours to explore so there's no way I could have explored everything this park has to offer. But it's gorgeous ams has plenty of stop and interesting facts.
Killarney National Park
Co. Galway
In general, the aran islands is a day trip by ferry. It's a great place with history, good food and always great views. But I'll share some individual stops below.
Home - The Aran Islands Co Galway Ireland
This was a site completely buried by sand until it was uncovered/discovered.
The Sunken Church of Inis Oírr
The fact our tour guide let us climb into this thing is insane. But they also let us know No one died in the shipwreck because all the locals came to help.
Plassey Shipwreck
A small castle you can look at and explore.
O'Brien's Castle, Inisheer
We only got to stop near the bridge and walk around the killary fjord town. But you can make a real day or weekend trip out of this with boat tours etc.
Killary Harbour: the heart of Connemara
This place is gorgeous. You can tour the "house" and the gardens.
Kylemore Abbey & Victorian Walled Garden
Co. Cork
I don't care what anyone says, I'd 100% kiss the blarney stone again. But you can also just tour the castle and the poisonous garden.
Blarney Castle & Gardens
I didnt get more than a couple hours in the city so it's a vague "to do" but there's lot of architecture and history so im sure there's tours and of course food & shops to enjoy.
Cork city
Belfast
A unique castle, with various historical facts and a castle cat tradition!
Belfast Castle
Per the trend, we had limited time so we walked around the city of Belfast looking at architecture, statues and parks. But it's a city so lots to do and see!
Visit Belfast | Official Belfast Tourist Information | Trips to Belfast UK | Visit ...
It's a national nature preserve and world heritage site mixed with Irish Legend. It's not exactly in Belfast but it's about an hour away so you could include in your things to do.
Giant's Causeway
Located where the titanic was built in Ireland this is a great museum. Ots really cool to see imagine and be there. Highly recommend.
Titanic Belfast
Dublin
As a book need this was pretty cool. My pictures are dark and blurry being from 2013. But it's an interesting place being an actual place where people attend and also being a tourist attraction.
Trinity College Dublin
Even if you're not religious this is an interesting stop. Viking history, religious history, and gorgeous architecture.
Christ Church Cathedral
One of the best castle tours because of how big and complete it still is.
