The broom-falls-on-your-head-when-you-open-the-door era is over. These clip onto the wall and hold everything vertical so your closet floor is actually usable again.

Not everyone can drill into walls. Renting, shared spaces, plaster walls from 1920. These solutions skip the drill entirely and still hold a surprising amount of weight.

Once the brooms are off the floor, you suddenly realize there's room for a cart. I slid one in next to the vacuum and now all my cleaning supplies live in one spot instead of scattered under three sinks.

Brooms off the floor was step one. Step two was realizing my closet shelves were a disaster of tangled extension cords and random batteries. These fixed that in one Saturday afternoon.

The vacuum was always the thing blocking everything else. Once I found a way to store it vertically and tuck the hose away, the rest of the closet finally made sense.
