Hamsters are small mammals from the subfamily Cricetinae. There are 3 species of hamster that a sold primarily in the UK that's the Syrian hamster, the largest one out of the three, Russian dwarf hamsters and Robo Hamsters. From personal experience having had these myself and from working with them as a keeper, I'd say the Syrian is the friendliest one and the least complicated one to keep for a first time pet and/or for small children. Robos and Russian Dwarfs can be kept together but in my expeirence it's best to just keep them individually and give them attention daily. All types are nocturnal so will be up in the evening times and you can pet and play with them too. Hamsters are probably the easiest of all the small mammals to keep, they just need a full clean weekly, daily food and water and just need at least an hours worth of attention in the evening. Their wheel allows them to exercise and the hamster ball allows more room for them to run in safety.

Rabbits are seriously interesting animals to care for and get to know. They are very intelligent lagomorphs that know their own name, can learn to do tricks and are amazing escape artists (depending on the personality) 😁. They really do have their own little personalities and quirks, which is what I love about them and they're so underrated. I have 7 bunnies at home ranging from different ages (2 years-2 months) and I am qualified in Animal Management Level 3 (oo-la-la) and have worked in zoos and so I thought I'd write up a starter kit for what you need to have a bunny of your own with some tips, tricks and useful information about rabbits and their care.
